Father’s Day gift craft

So I had gotten this picture from an art sale at school and it had come in this frame. Now this frame in my mind has seen better days. It is a dark/red burgundy color with a gold small pearl trim.

So in a very me fashioned way I decided to paint the frame white. This is after one coat and I like the more see through style, but for this project I wanted it to be just a little more clean and almost full white so…I gave it a second coat!This is the paint I used. I have found it at multiple hardware stores. This is the leftover paint that I have been using on lots of different projects, since my big project of painting some old dark wood furniture, distressing it, and putting new hardware on!

This is the final project! I think that the new color of frame really allows for the colors within the painting to pop, and creates added dimension within the painting that isn’t so distracting. Not only that put now this painting I got my dad has a personal touch! Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!
