My Favorite Books for the New Year

I love reading and with a bunch of books under the Christmas Tree , I have so many more to share with you as I read them this year! Here are some of my most recommended books for you all this January:

Bittersweet by Shauna Niequist… this is my first book I have read by her but I think it is so good, and it really challenges you to think through your faith in good times and in bad.img_4670

The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness by Timothy Keller…this is my second book I have read by Timothy Keller, the first being Every Good Endeavor which I have recommended on other posts. This one is just as good!img_4672

Everybody Always by Bob Goff… This book has been on my want to read list for a long time and I have to say it still is because I am going to be reading it again!img_4671

Risk is Right by John Piper… I don’t know which is better reading John Piper’s words or watching him preach, but both are good and very convicting! And can I just add that David Platt is writing the forward on this, and that is amazing too.img_4619

Kind is the New Classy by Candace Cameron Bure… This was also on my want to read list, but it was even better once I started reading it. I read this book in one 4 hour sitting.img_4615

The Art of Turning from Sin to Christ for a Joyfully Clear Conscience by Kevin DeYoung… If you just take the length of the title and multiple the number of words by 4 that is the number of pages in this book, and you will want to read and reread every single one.img_4575

Them by Senator Ben Sasse… I have to say this book is not very much about politics but it is about how we interact with each other and how we build community in this lonely generation. img_4576

The last book for this January is Home Body by Joanna Gaines… can I just say I have never read a more aesthetically pleasing book in my life. I just want to implement all the ideas into my future home!

Enjoy your reading!
