Hey friends! I have realized that I haven’t really posted anything about who I am or what I do since I first started this blog, two years ago in May! That was such a long time ago, in the sense that so much has changed since then. So here is my little introduction!
My name is Alecia and I am a 21-year-old Marketing student in Nebraska! I finally graduate in May, and I am so excited to be done with school and move on to this next season of life! At the same time I am also really nervous as I don’t have any plans after graduation. Which also happens to be on my birthday!
There are so many dreams that I have for the future; some far out and some more realistic! There are many things that I would love to do: such as be more entrepreneurial, do a big internship, or work in Ministry. But most of all…I would love to be a full-time writer! Whether it be this, writing books, working as a copy writer, or something else! I just love words, and I think they can do so many powerful things. They can connect us, tell stories, and encourage and inspire others. For right now this blog is my outlet in which I always know that I can write and do all those things.
Some of the other things that I love to do and that are important to me are traveling, baking, crafting, my faith, and my friends/community. On this page I share a lot of things from the perspective of my faith and what Jesus is doing in my life, what I am struggling with, with Him, and the neat things He is doing around me that only He can do!
One of the amazing things Jesus has done in my life is given me an amazing community and group of friends to do life with and encourage me deeper with Him and help me grow in every aspect of my life. I am very thankful for friends that make me feel known, love, and understood, and that reflect to me the grace and love of the Lord.
I also have a great family that I try and spend a lot of time with. I have 3 half-brothers and have definitely grown to love being the only girl on a couple sides of my family!
On this blog I also try and share some of my adventures in the kitchen and my adventures in the other places I go! I started cooking at a young age when I would go over to my grandmas and she would teach me how to cook and bake. I have always experimented with new things, and love to share those with the people around me! My roommate has to eat a lot of my cooking, hopefully she thinks it is okay! I often get to have less traveling adventures at least for right now, because of school and the college student budget!
Another new adventure I have been working towards lately is training for a half marathon! Sometimes I think I am crazy but I am also excited to be going after big goals and getting healthier. But I am trying to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and go after new adventures.
Another big aspect of my life is crafting! I am always up to make a ballon birthday sign/number, or refurbish a piece of furniture, or decorate a space (especially for a get together or a birthday)! My heart lies with lettering and making signs and prints though! I love seeing what quotes and verses are important to people, and I enjoy getting to make something people love. I recently took a little risk and opened an Etsy store called AuthenticAleciaAnn so that I can share this with more people!
