Cookie Day was this past weekend, and we did it a little differently with just my mom, aunt, and grandma this year. But, before we got to the big day of making dozens of multiple kinds of cookies, I made everyone’s dozens of my Great Great Grandma’s Sugar Cookie Recipe!

Here’s the Recipe:
Cream Together:
2 cups of sugar
2 sticks of oleo(butter-salted)
Then add:
1 cup Crisco oil
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 eggs
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons baking soda
5 cups flour
Make into round balls after mixing thoroughly. Then roll in sugar (red and green for Christmas). Then press with a criss cross design using a fork, or if you have a decorative bottom glass to press with. Then Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
These are some of the best cookies to go with hot chocolate. My roommate even said it smelled like Christmas once I started baking! Enjoy!
